The political climate has drastically changed this year and unlike previous administrations this incoming administration is bent on the destruction of the righteous. It appears that there will be sweeping changes of rules and law in order to maintain that the wicked remain in places of power. Nevertheless, the righteous have and advocate and place of refuge, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The wicked having power over the righteous is not new. History proves this fact, but it also proves the word of God. Ps. 2:2-4 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision

But it is the Lord that causes such to rule. When the people are wicked, God places wicked rulers over them. Because the people of this nation are unrighteous, God will establish an unrighteous government to reign over them. This is the Lord’s doing, Dan 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: Pro 8:15-16 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth

As the people of God, we should not be surprised that the wicked rise to such power or that we live in such a wicked society that God would judge the nation. We are admonished to put on the whole armor of God because, Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We live in a country that has been blessed of God, but now it has become most evident that the enemies of God have risen to great power to destroy any form of righteousness that this nation once had for an evil regime.

There is a great peace to the people of God and an assurance that God shall avenge himself and his people.

Psalm 37-11-20

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away
