Living Springs Baptist Church

Holding forth the Word of God as our ONLY rule of Faith and Practice

Our purpose is the Glory and Praise of the Most High God

Preaching the true Biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ

Employed in a New Testament Church

Living Springs Baptist Church is an independent, Christ centered, family integrated Baptist church. Our families sit together, pray together, sing together and listen to the Word of God together. We believe strongly in expository preaching, Biblical evangelism and godly living.

Living Springs Baptist Church is not your typical Baptist church. We are traditional in our form of worship. We use the King James Version of the Bible and the preacher actually preaches. So what makes us not so typical?

First, we are not Protestant. We are not 'Reformation Born' but rather from a long line of adherents to Biblical Christianity. You might say our predecessors were the original "protestants or protesters" against the rise of the Catholic church in the 4th Century. And yes, our Faith is that old. In fact two historians from the Dutch Reformed Church said, "On this account the Baptist may be considered as the only Christian community which has stood since the days of the Apostles, and as a Christian society which has preserved pure the doctrines of the Gospel through all ages..." (I must advise you, the reader, that most modern day Baptist have abandoned the old Faith to which these historians refer but there are still true Baptist churches adhering to the Old Faith "which has stood since the days of the Apostles.")

Second, our Constitution is the New Testament. No by-laws, no Incorporation, no State or Federal over-site or regulation of internal church activities (which is the result of incorporation), no ecclesiastical synods or presbyters, no boards or committees, but simply the Word of God. We conduct our business as a congregation in unity with the Pastor. We do not bow to 'Caesar', modernism, ecumenicalism, political correctness, socialism or any other unbiblical philosophy in the worship of our God. We verify and conform to the New Testament in all our ministries and service.

Third, our form of worship is simple and conforms with the scripture. We have Bible studies, corporate worship and congregational signing and prayer. We believe that God gives to every member a spiritual gift to be used and exercised in the context of the Lord's church.

Fourth, We hold to what is often referred to as Sovereign Grace Doctrine. Our Doctrine is Baptist and not "Reformed" for Baptist have since before the Reformation held to what is considered the tenets of Calvinism. We do not agree with John Calvin and the Reformers in many areas of Protestant doctrine. Please read our Confession of Faith on our "Beliefs" page.

Fifth, we hold to the Old Faith of the Baptist concerning the origination, institution and ordinances of the Lord's Church. We reject, and not without warrant, the Protestant view of the universal-invisible church.

For now, we are meeting in a private residence located at 1713, W. Marlborough Ave., Coeur d Alene, Idaho. Please call ahead in case there are any changes. The Pastor's phone number is 208-964-4387
